The JetBlue Challenge: Scaling Up the Winning Culture While Scaling Down The Costs

JetBlue needed new coaching tools to help Crewmembers ensure and enhance their industry-leading "Passenger Experience." The solution may change the way training and development is done.

JetBlue, known for customer-friendly service, has been challenged to sustain and scale its legendary Passenger Experience while continuing on its growth strategy. The solution was to create digital tools that reach directly to the customer front, transferring the management of self-development to Crewmembers themselves.

JetBlue concluded there was no talent management solution available so their People Department built one, working with CareerDNA, a new "think tank" talent management solutions company.

The result: JetBlue will be able to cost-effectively train and coach frontline Crewmembers to provide an even better Passenger Experience. The new digital solution, allows Crewmembers to self-identify their transferable skills, compare them to those of high performers in their job category and then receive training and development programs for improving these skills.

CareerDNA is now taking this solution to market as TalentDNA, seeking partnerships with other progressive companies. CEO Rod Parker, and his two PhD's co-founders Dr. Brian Schwartz and Dr. Frank Bordonaro, devoted two years to building TalentDNA, and believe it will transform the way learning and development is aligned, distributed and used on the job — allowing companies to put learning where the work is.
